As the senior designer at HUB Collective, a 6 person design studio, responsibilites
ranged from changing the watercooler to the conceptual and graphic design
of large budget brand visual centers for clients like Nike and Procter &
Gamble. These visual centers were developed to establish a design language
and a set of guidelines for the client and covered a broad design specturm
including: typography, color palette, photographic style and design execution.
Other responsibilities included design direction and management of in-house
and freelance designers, presentation of concept designs to clients and photography
of printed and environmental portfolio pieces.

Freelance Graphic Designer

Duties shift daily to cover broad spectrum of print and conceptual designs.
Shoe box packaging, Nike iD visual center, Brasil 5 Star consumer and PR kits,
Nike Annual Report, apparel graphic design. Lead design: focused on creative
content and rollout of Nike Pro Compression retail graphics, photography,
collateral, direct-mail, internet promotion and packaging. Managed outside
freelancers. Responsibilities include: graphic design, art direction of contract
designers and in-house photo shoots, management and distribution of digital
assets, including athlete and apparel photography, illustrations and visual
centers.

Design and produce seasonal footwear/product catalog and sales pieces under
the direction of senior designers. Work independently to design materials,
present designs and incorporate results into current projects. Interpretation
and implementation of existing design standards into new cross-promotional
pieces. Organize detailed catalog information, including product numbers,
photography reference numbers, color classifications and copy text. Graphic

Golf, Freelance Graphic Designer

Designed retail consumer materials, including product brochures, packaging
and point of purchase graphics. Collaborative design effort of prototype golf
club line. Worked closely with senior designers and design director to develop
and maintain promotional consistence of branded materials. Managed press checks
to insure color and content accuracy.
Hollywood Video, Senior Designer
Wilsonville, OR., April 1999–Dec.2000
Senior designer for in-house Marketing/Creative Services department. Lead
designer for Game Crazy, Hollywood Video’s retail video game store with
over 70 locations. Responsibilities include strategic design to maximize return-on-investment
and art direction of production designers. Responsible for designing visual
materials for over 1,800 national retail stores to promote the Hollywood Video
brand. Conceptualize and design in-store point of purchase materials, direct-mail,
large format vinyl graphics, free standing newspaper inserts, coupons and
branded packaging for national distribution.

Lead designer of in-house art department. Management of all aspects of pre-press
screen-printing art; including conceptualization and design, modification,
film production, and archiving, with an average rate of 10-15 projects per
week. Work closely with salespeople, customers, and screen printers to streamline
productive operation of design process. Maintenance of a database of digital
art files for future retrieval. Design of in-house communications, sales order
forms and advertisements.
